Cell phones have come a long way. You can play games, download music and ring tones, get directions, find the latest weather reports, check your email, and you can also find out just where your teenager might be. Parents find this technology to be a very good idea for two good reasons. If they think they have a reason to worry about what their kids are doing, this can tell them where they are at anytime while away from home. The argument from teenagers about trusting them is a good one, but there are times when that trust does get breached. They think this is a breach of privacy, but parents do have the right to know where their minor children are at all times. Teens and parents should talk about this when it is on a phone, and set limits on when parents should worry and use this technology.

This can also be something that would help adults. There are bad things that happen in the world, and when someone is missing or extremely late, they may not answer their phone if something is wrong.
